Manoharan is a Tamil and Malayalam cinema actress born on 24 December 1987 in Tamil Nadu, trained in Kathakali and Bharatanatyam, who works across both industries in supporting and lead roles. She won the Surya Award for Best Debut Actress in 2012 for the Malayalam film Ivan Megharoopan and received critical acclaim for her role as Kuruvammal in the Tamil web series Ayali (2023). She is known for playing emotionally complex characters, such as Thangam — a sex worker abandoned by her husband — in Oru Naal Iravil (2015), directed by editor-turned-director Anthony alongside Sathyaraj.
