His 1996 Malayalam film Kaanaakkinaavu premiered at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. In Tamil films, he took on supporting roles such as Kesavan in K. Balachander's Jathi Malli (1993) and the elder brother Karunakaran in Ainthaam Padai (2009), demonstrating his versatility across industries.
