Biography

Tatineni Satya is a Telugu film director from Chennai, grandson of veteran filmmaker T. Prakash Rao and son of director T. L. V. Prasad, making him part of a prominent multi-generational filmmaking family. He made his directorial debut with Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (2010), a Telugu sports drama, followed by the romantic comedy SMS – Siva Manasulo Sruthi (2012), a remake of the Tamil hit Siva Manasula Sakthi starring Sudheer Babu and Regina Cassandra. He studied visual communications at Loyola College, Chennai, and trained as an assistant director under Bollywood director David Dhawan on nine films including Jodi No.1 (2001). He later directed Veedevadu (2017), continuing his work in Telugu commercial cinema.
