Siva Nageswara Rao is a Telugu film director and screenwriter born in Uppalapadu near Guntur, who began his career in the film industry in 1979 after moving to Madras. He made his directorial debut with 'Money' (1993), produced by Ram Gopal Varma, after serving as assistant director on Varma's films including 'Rao Gaari Illu' (1988) and 'Siva' (1989). His filmography specializes in situational and black comedy drawn from middle-class experiences, with notable films including 'Money Money' (1994), 'Sisindri' (1995), and 'Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy' (2004), the latter starring Sivaji and Laila.
