Amma Rajasekhar is a Telugu cinema director, originally from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, who transitioned from choreography to filmmaking in the mid-2000s. He made his directorial debut with Ranam (2006) and followed it with Khatarnak (2006), a Telugu action film starring Ravi Teja, and Takkari (2007), a love story featuring Nitin and Sada. His background as a choreographer trained under associates of Anthony Master informed a kinetic visual style in his early action and romance films. He later directed Uyire Uyire (2016) and continued working in Telugu and Tamil cinema, also serving as a judge on Telugu TV dance reality shows including Challenge and Gharshana.
