Trivia

  • The film's title 'Takkari' is a Telugu slang word meaning a clever or street-smart person, which fits the hero's character.
  • Director S. V. Krishna Reddy originally planned to cast a different actor for the lead but chose Nitin after seeing his earlier work.
  • The movie was shot in just 45 days, which was considered a very fast schedule for a Telugu film at that time.
  • Actress Sadha, who played the female lead, was already a popular star in Tamil cinema before this Telugu role.
  • The film's climax scene where the hero returns the money was praised for its unique twist on typical revenge plots.
  • Composer Koti provided the music, and the song 'Chilakkalu Chusthe' became a moderate hit on radio stations.
  • This was one of the few Telugu films from that era to show the real estate business as a central part of the story.
