Deepika Chikhalia (also known as Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala) is an Indian actress who worked across Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Bengali cinema in the 1980s and 1990s, best known for portraying Sita in Ramanand Sagar's landmark television series Ramayan (1987). Her Hindi film credits include Kanoon Kya Karega (1984), Paththar (1985), Raat Ke Andhere Mein (1987), and Khudai (1994), the last opposite Rajesh Khanna with whom she appeared in three films total. She demonstrated multilingual range with appearances opposite Mammootty in the Malayalam film Ithile Iniyum Varu (1986), Prosenjit Chatterjee in the Bengali film Asha O Bhalobasha (1989), and Ambareesh in the Kannada film Indrajith (1989). She also served as a Member of Parliament from the Baroda constituency representing the BJP from 1991 to 1996.
