G. Ram Prasad is a Telugu film director from Andhra Pradesh who began his career as an assistant to director B. Gopal after moving to Madras in 1988. His directorial debut, Chiru Navvuto (2000), starring Venu Thottempudi and Prema, was a commercial success earning a five-crore share at the box office and winning three Nandi Awards including Best Feature Film, with the film later remade in Kannada and Tamil. He followed this with Seema Simham (2002) featuring Balakrishna and Simran, Kalyana Ramudu (2003), and Kushi Kushiga (2004), a remake of the Malayalam film Chronic Bachelor starring Jagapati Babu and Ramya Krishna. His career extended into the 2010s with Vinavayya Ramayya (2015), featuring Prakash Raj and MS Narayana in supporting roles.
