Kaushik Ghatak is an Indian film and television director working in Hindi cinema, born on 12 August 1971 in Katwa, Bardhaman, West Bengal, best known for directing the detective thriller Samrat & Co. (2014). He made his feature film debut with Ek Vivaah... Aisa Bhi (2008), produced by Rajshri Productions under Sooraj R. Barjatya, starring Sonu Sood and Isha Koppikar. Ghatak began his career as an apprentice assistant to director Anurag Basu in 1998 before transitioning through television serials such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Sanjivani: A Medical Boon. Samrat & Co., starring Rajeev Khandelwal in the title role and also produced by Rajshri Productions, marked his return to feature films after a six-year gap.
