Amit Saxena is a Hindi cinema filmmaker who began his career as an editor under producer Mukesh Bhatt, debuting on Sangharsh (1999) before directing his first feature. He directed Jism (2003), an erotic thriller starring John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, written by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Pooja Bhatt, which earned over ₹134 million against a ₹32.5 million budget. His directorial work gravitates toward adult-themed genre films — Jism drew direct inspiration from Body Heat (1981) and Double Indemnity (1944), and his second theatrical film Nasha (2013) introduced Poonam Pandey to Bollywood in a similar erotic-thriller mold. He also worked as editor across several Bhatt-camp productions including Raaz (2002) and Kasoor (2001).
