Kaaka Muttai hits half century

A feather is added to the Kaaka Muttai’s hat that the movie is running on theatres still after 50 days. It was declared as People's Choice Winner for the year 2015 in the Silk Screen Asian American Film Festival in Pittsburgh. It has entered 50 days since its release on June 5. Still the movie is running in major multiplexes in Chennai like Sathyam, Escape, Luxe, AGS and Mayajaal.

The movie has collected more than expected returns with a small budget and has satisfied both fans and producers. According to film critics, it is a phenomenal collection of 2.4 crores in the first two days for a film that has no star cast. Most of the cine industry personalities have praised the Kaaka Muttai boys for real acting, Dhanush, Vetrimaaran, the producers for giving a gem of a movie.
