Zoya Akhthar’s next: Watch out for the new pair!

Looks like the ‘Make My Trip’ pair are ready to rock the bollywood with their first time uniting for Zoya Akhthar’s next movie titled ‘Gully Boy’. Yes, we are talking about Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt who are already given extraordinary performances in their films. “Gully boy’ will be Co-produced by Zoya under her recently launched banner ‘Tiger Baby’ along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Excel Entertainment’ who already produced the super hit film “Raees’ under their banner.

The film is based on the lives of rappers from the gullies and chawls in Mumbai. It is also said that the movie is inspired by Naezy Divine; the Hip hop album featuring Naezy won the GIMA award for best music video. Ranveer’s character is based on Naezy’s life. The movie is expected to go on floors from November 2017.

Ranveer is currently working in Sanjal Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmavathi’ starring along with Shahid Kappor and Deepika Padukone. Alia was last seen in ‘Dear Zindagi’ which won lots of accolades for her performance in the film and she is also waiting for ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ to be released opposite Varun Dhawan.
