High Court dismissed the petition againt Mersal

The dialogues in Mersal have hurt the Tamil Nadu BJP and many controversies were around the movie and a lawyer filed a public litigation case against the movie for having such dialogues in the movie. And he also added that the censor certificate of Mersal should be taken back by the CBFC board. The petition was reviewed in the Madras High Court today.

The High Court Judges dismissed the petition againt Mersal filed by the lawyer. And the judges have also questioned the lawyer:

What was wrong in Mersal movie and how did the dialogues of this movie affect the common people. More over Mersal is a movie, if you are really concern about the movie you sould asked to remove the drinking and smoking scene from movies. Right to speech is a fundamental right to every citizen. If you don’t like the movie you avoid watching the movie.
