• Nayantara was the one who pushed for Jayaprakash to be cast as her father in 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' (2014). She had seen him in a small role in another film and told the director, 'He has the right face for a strict but loving dad.' That call got him the part.
• In 'Idhu Namma Aalu' (2016), Jayaprakash improvised a whole scene where he silently eats breakfast while Nayantara's character rants. He kept chewing, not reacting, and she had to hold back laughter. The director kept it in the final cut because it made her frustration feel real.
• During the shoot of 'Airaa' (2019), Jayaprakash would bring homemade snacks from his wife's kitchen to set every day. Nayantara later said in an interview that those snacks were the only thing that got her through the exhausting night shoots for the horror sequences.
• Nayantara once told a behind-the-scenes crew member on 'Airaa': 'Jayaprakash sir doesn't act. He just stands there and lets the scene happen around him. That's why I trust him as my on-screen father — he never tries to steal the moment.'
• Their father-daughter dynamic in 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' (2014) was so well-received that the director of 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' (2019) specifically requested them to play the same relationship again — even though that film was a period epic set 150 years earlier. They're the only actor pair to play father-daughter in both a modern rom-com and a historical war film.
