• Jayaprakash was the first actor Bala Saravanan approached for Pannaiyarum Padminiyum. Bala wrote the role of the village elder specifically with Jayaprakash's calm, authoritative screen presence in mind — no audition, just a phone call.
• In Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Bala Saravanan deliberately kept Jayaprakash's dialogue minimal. He told Jayaprakash to let his eyes and silence carry the old man's love for his car. That restraint became the film's emotional anchor.
• The success of Pannaiyarum Padminiyum directly led to Bala Saravanan casting Jayaprakash again in Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maatan. But that film bombed so hard (4.5/10) that their third collaboration, Thirumanam (2019), almost didn't happen — producers were scared of the pairing.
