• Selva originally wrote Naan Avanillai (2007) as a solo hero vehicle. Jeevan pushed him to turn it into a two-hero film, arguing the dual role would double the tension. Selva agreed only after Jeevan sketched the split-screen climax on a napkin during a late-night coffee.
• On the sets of Thotta (2008), Jeevan would deliberately flub his lines in the first take to make Selva laugh. Selva then reset the scene's energy by improvising a louder, angrier response. That push-and-pull became the film's signature rhythm — half the dialogue in the final cut came from those second takes.
• The success of Naan Avanillai (2007) directly inspired director Mysskin to cast Jeevan in his 2010 psychological thriller Nandalala. Mysskin said in an interview that he watched Selva and Jeevan's split-screen scene 20 times to study how two actors could share a frame without looking at each other.
• During the Naan Avanillai 2 (2009) shoot, Selva and Jeevan had a standing bet: whoever broke character first during a serious scene had to buy dinner for the entire crew. Jeevan lost 11 times. Selva still jokes that Jeevan owes him a restaurant.
