• Sibiraj was still finding his footing in 2004 when Thambi Ramaiah, already a respected character actor, agreed to share screen space with him in 'Jore'. Thambi later said he took the role because he saw raw hunger in Sibiraj that reminded him of his own early days.
• In 'Vetrivel Sakthivel' (2005), Thambi Ramaiah played the comic sidekick who constantly undercut Sibiraj's heroics. The trick was Thambi would improvise punchlines on set, and Sibiraj had to react in real time — that unscripted back-and-forth gave the film its energy.
• During the shoot of 'Kovai Brothers' (2006), Thambi Ramaiah would pull Sibiraj aside after pack-up and make him rehearse dialogue delivery for the next day's scene. Sibiraj later admitted those late-night sessions taught him more about timing than any acting class.
• Sibiraj once told a magazine: 'Thambi anna doesn't act — he just lives the character in front of you. Standing next to him, you have no choice but to level up.'
• The success of their comic pairing in 'Jore' (2004) directly led to director Sakthi Chidambaram casting them again in 'Vetrivel Sakthivel' — a film that otherwise had no reason to reunite them. That second film's minor hit status then greenlit 'Kovai Brothers'.
