• They first met on the set of Pandi Oliperukki Nilayam (2012) because director S. P. Rajkumar specifically wanted two actors who could switch between comedy and pathos without missing a beat. Karunas was already a known comedian; Thambi Ramaiah was still finding his footing as a character actor. The director paired them as brothers in the film, and their real-life bond started right there.
• In Komban (2015), Thambi Ramaiah played the comic sidekick while Karunas played the villain's henchman. What made them click: Karunas would set a deadpan, slow rhythm in his dialogue delivery, and Thambi Ramaiah would rush in with rapid-fire punchlines to break the tension.
