• Anupam Kher personally recommended Fardeen Khan for the role of his younger brother in 'Om Jai Jagadish' (2002). The director Anupam Kher had already cast himself, but he pushed for Fardeen after seeing his audition tape.
• In 'Heyy Babyy' (2007), Anupam Kher played the comic-relief father figure while Fardeen Khan played the goofy friend. Kher deliberately slowed down his delivery in every scene with Fardeen to make Fardeen's punchlines land harder — a trick he later said he learned from working with Govinda.
• During the shoot of 'Life Partner' (2009), Anupam Kher would drive Fardeen Khan home every night after pack-up because Fardeen had recently lost his mother and didn't want to be alone. They'd stop for chai at the same dhaba in Andheri for three months straight.
