• Chunky Panday was the one who pushed for Rakesh Bedi to be cast in 'Naaka Bandi' (1990). The director wanted a bigger name for the comic sidekick role, but Chunky insisted Bedi's timing was perfect for the part.
• In 'Tirchhi Topiwale' (1998), Bedi and Panday developed a silent signal system on set. Bedi would tap his left ear twice when he was about to improvise a line, and Chunky would adjust his collar to signal he was going off-script too. They kept the director out of the loop for most scenes.
