• Vivek was already a busy comedian when Udhaya was a newcomer. Udhaya personally requested Vivek to be in his first film 'Thirunelveli' (2000) because he wanted a strong comic anchor to balance his intense role. Vivek agreed after reading just the first half of the script.
• In 'Unnai Kann Theduthey' (2000), Vivek improvised most of his dialogue on set. Udhaya would then adjust his own performance to match Vivek's rhythm — a back-and-forth that made their scenes feel like real conversations, not scripted comedy.
