• Nayantara was already a star when she signed Aadhavan (2009), but K. S. Ravikumar had to convince her to play a role that was more supportive than the hero — she initially wanted a stronger part. He promised her the script would balance both, and she trusted him.
• On the sets of Jai Simha (2018), Ravikumar let Nayantara improvise most of her comedic lines. He told her to just react naturally to Balakrishna's over-the-top style — and her deadpan timing became the film's secret weapon.
