• Pandu was already a known villain when Sangita was cast opposite him in Seethanam (1995). She was a newcomer, and he reportedly helped her get comfortable with the intense emotional scenes by running lines with her for hours before each take.
• In Thaali Pudhusu (1997), Pandu played a violent husband and Sangita played his suffering wife. The director said Pandu deliberately held back his usual aggression in fight scenes so Sangita could react naturally — he slowed his tempo to match her rhythm.
• During the shoot of Ganga Gowri (1997), Sangita’s mother fell ill. Pandu quietly arranged for a car to take her to the hospital and covered the medical bills. Sangita later said in an interview that he never told anyone on set about it.
• Sangita once said: 'Pandu was the only co-star who would ask me if I was okay before every single shot. He treated me like a younger sister, not just a heroine.'
• Their pairing in Seethanam (1995) was so well-received that the producer immediately greenlit two more films with them as leads — Thaali Pudhusu and Ganga Gowri — both released in the same year, 1997.
