• Delhi Ganesh was actually a last-minute replacement in Vaanchinathan (2001). The original actor dropped out, and Ganesh stepped in — that's how he and Raj Kapoor first shared screen space.
• In Maasilamani (2009), Raj Kapoor played the comic sidekick while Delhi Ganesh played the older, wiser figure. Ganesh deliberately slowed his delivery to let Kapoor's physical comedy land — a rhythm they perfected over three films.
• Delhi Ganesh once said in an interview that Raj Kapoor would call him 'Sir' on set, even though Kapoor was the bigger star. Ganesh had to ask him to stop after the first week of Vaanchinathan.
