• Chithra was a last-minute replacement in 'Engal Swamy Ayyappan' (1990). The original actress dropped out days before shooting, and Anand Babu personally recommended her to the director after seeing her in a stage play.
• In 'Cheran Pandiyan' (1991), Anand Babu deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Chithra's natural rhythm. He told the director that her pauses made the emotional scenes land harder, so he adjusted his entire performance around her timing.
• During the shoot of 'Putham Pudhu Payanam' (1991), Anand Babu and Chithra would rehearse their scenes in the car on the way to the set. They never used the script — they'd rewrite the lines together in Tamil slang so it sounded like real conversation.
