Cheran Pandiyan(1991)
Cheran Pandiyan is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by K. S. Ravikumar from a story by Erode Soundar. The film stars Vijayakumar, Sarathkumar, Anand Babu, and Sreeja in lead roles. Set in the village of Muthupalayam in Coimbatore district, the story follows two half-brothers divided by caste prejudice and a young couple fighting for their love. The film won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Special Prize for Best Film and was a commercial success at the box office. It was later remade in Telugu as Balarama Krishnulu and in Hindi as Sautela. The film was released on 31 May 1991.

Storyline
A wealthy landlord refuses to acknowledge his half-brother because of their different caste backgrounds. When a poor young man falls in love with the landlord's daughter, the family's deep divisions explode into violence. Can love and sacrifice break the walls of hatred?
