• Sasikumar didn't just cast Namo Narayana in Naadodigal (2009) — he wrote the role of 'Kadhir' specifically for him after seeing his stage work. Namo was a theatre actor with zero film experience at that point.
• On the set of Poraali (2011), Sasikumar would deliberately push Namo Narayana into long, unbroken takes. He knew Namo's theatre training meant he could hold emotional intensity without cuts — and that made the other actors around him raise their game too.
• Naadodigal (2009) directly launched the career of actor Vijay Vasanth. He was a newcomer Sasikumar introduced in that film — and Namo Narayana's grounded performance as the friend helped anchor the film's emotional core, making Vijay's role work.
• Namo Narayana has said in interviews that Sasikumar never once called him by his character name on set. For all eight films, Sasikumar only ever addressed him as 'Namo' — even during heated arguments about a scene.
• Namo Narayana once told a Tamil magazine: 'Sasikumar doesn't direct actors. He creates a storm around them and watches how they survive. I survived eight storms.'
• In Kutti Puli (2013), Sasikumar gave Namo Narayana zero dialogue for the entire first half. The entire character arc was built on Namo's physical reactions and eye movements — a gamble that paid off because Sasikumar trusted Namo to tell the story without words.
