The producer of Maha Nadigan (2004) paired them specifically to cash in on her popularity — he thought her glamour would pull young audiences, while Raj Kapoor's old-school action fanbase would fill the rest of the seats.
• In Sandai (2008), Namitha had zero dialogue in the first half. Raj Kapoor insisted on that. He told the director her silence would build more tension for her big confrontation scene — and it worked. That scene is still the only thing people remember from that film.
