Guru Sishyan(2010)
Guru Sishyan is a 2010 Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Sakthi Chidambaram. It stars Sathyaraj as Guru Moorthy, a ruthless moneylender, and Sundar C as Eeti, his cunning new companion. The story is set in the town of Rajapalayam, where the duo terrorizes locals with aggressive debt collection. The plot thickens when flashbacks reveal a broken marriage between Guru and Mahalakshmi, played by Saranya Ponvannan. A major twist exposes Eeti as Mahalakshmi's long-lost brother on a mission to reunite the estranged couple. The film blends crude humor, action sequences, and family drama. Critics noted its reliance on double entendre and item numbers. Sify and Rediff gave negative reviews, criticizing the vulgarity and runtime. The film was released on 7 May 2010 and distributed by Cinema Paradise.
