• Agathiyan cast Vani in 'Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu' (2003) after seeing her in a Telugu ad. He needed a fresh face opposite his hero son — and she was the only one who said yes without asking for a script change.
• On the sets of 'Ramakrishna' (2004), Agathiyan would rewrite Vani's lines in Tamil on the spot because she was more comfortable in Telugu. She'd then translate his director's notes back to him in Telugu slang — they built a private shorthand that no one else on set understood.
• After 'Selvam' (2005) flopped, Agathiyan stopped calling Vani for new projects. She later said in a small interview that he never explained why — they just drifted apart. No fight, no closure.
• Vani once told a fan blog: 'Agathiyan sir treated me like his daughter. But after Selvam, he didn't even pick up my call. I still don't know what I did wrong.'
• The only reason 'Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu' exists in Tamil cinema is because Agathiyan wanted to launch his son — and Vani was the only actress willing to do a bilingual without a Tamil track record. That film directly led to her getting a Tamil career, however short.
