• Salman Khan personally recommended Manisha Koirala for the lead in 'Khamoshi: The Musical' (1996) after director Sanjay Leela Bhansali struggled to find his heroine. Bhansali had almost shelved the film.
• In 'Khamoshi: The Musical', Manisha's deaf-mute character communicated entirely through sign language and expressions. Salman, who played her husband, had to learn basic sign language to improvise small gestures during their scenes — something he did without being asked.
• During the shoot of 'Sangdil Sanam' (1994), Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala would often prank each other between takes. Manisha once hid Salman's signature leather jacket, and he retaliated by hiding her vanity van keys — they were both late to set that day.
