• Ali was the one who suggested Sharwanand for the lead in 'Nuvva Nena' (2012) after the director struggled to find the right actor. Ali had just worked with Sharwa on a small role and told the team, 'This guy has the timing.'
• In 'Run Raja Run' (2014), Ali improvised an entire 3-minute monologue about a stolen chappal during a chase scene. Sharwanand broke character and laughed so hard they had to reshoot. The final cut kept Ali's version because the director said Sharwa's genuine reaction sold the scene.
