Trivia

  • The film is a remake of the 1997 Hindi movie 'Deewana Mastana', which itself was inspired by the 1994 Hollywood film 'The Dream Team'.
  • This was the first and only film directed by P. Narayana, who is primarily known as a producer for many successful Telugu movies.
  • Actress Shriya Saran, who played the female lead, was reportedly shooting for this film simultaneously with the Tamil blockbuster 'Sivaji: The Boss' starring Rajinikanth.
  • The comedy track featuring Brahmanandam and Ali was a major highlight, with their characters creating separate fan followings despite the film's overall performance.
  • The soundtrack composer Bheems, known for folk and mass numbers, collaborated with veteran background score maestro Mani Sharma for this project.
  • The film marked a rare Telugu screen appearance for Malayalam actress Vimala Raman, who was primarily active in South Indian cinema at the time.
  • Despite featuring popular comedians and a known story, the movie had a very limited theatrical run and is seldom discussed in the lead actors' filmographies.
