• Senthamizhan was a newcomer when he signed Sindhu Nathi Poo (1994). Ranjith was already a known face. The pairing happened because the producer wanted a fresh face opposite Ranjith — and Senthamizhan's audition tape won the role over more experienced actresses.
• In Cheran Chozhan Pandian (1998), Ranjith deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Senthamizhan's natural rhythm.
