• Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan first shared screen space in Lakshmi Putrudu (2008), but they barely had a scene together. The director, V. V. Vinayak, threw them into a comedy track only after the shoot was halfway done — he needed a quick laugh and knew Brahmanandam could bounce off anyone.
• In Saradaga Ammayitho (2013), Brahmanandam’s character is a bumbling sidekick who keeps getting Mumaith’s character into trouble. The trick was that Brahmanandam would deliberately flub his lines to make Mumaith laugh on set, and the director kept those takes because her genuine irritation looked real on screen.
• Their third film together, Mental (2016), was the only one where they had a proper comic duet. That film’s success directly led to Mumaith being cast in a similar loud-comic role in the 2017 hit Jai Lava Kusa — a role originally written for a male comedian.
• On the sets of Mental, Brahmanandam would bring homemade snacks for the entire crew every Friday. Mumaith later said in an interview that he always saved her the first piece of whatever he brought — a small ritual that made her feel like family.
