• Shakti Soundar Rajan was a software engineer with zero film experience when he walked into Shakti S. Rajan's office with a script. The actor read it overnight and said yes the next morning — that script became Naanayam (2010).
• On the sets of Naaigal Jaakirathai (2014), the actor kept pushing the director to make the dog scenes more realistic. The director finally let the actor train with the canine for two weeks before filming — that real bond between actor and dog is what sold the movie.
• Miruthan (2016) was Tamil cinema's first zombie film. Because these two took that risk together, it opened the door for other Tamil zombie movies like Zombie (2019) and the web series Mayavi.
