Naaigal Jaakirathai is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language comedy thriller film written and directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. The lead cast includes Sibiraj as Inspector Karthik, Arundhati as Renuka, and a German Shepherd dog named Idoh as Subramani. The story follows a police officer suffering from PTSD who forms an unlikely bond with a military dog. Together, they race against time to rescue the officer's kidnapped wife from a vengeful criminal. The film is inspired by the 1989 Hollywood film Turner & Hooch. It was produced by Sathyaraj under the Nathambal Film Factory banner. The music was composed by Dharan Kumar. Naaigal Jaakirathai received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It was one of the most profitable Tamil films of 2014, grossing over ₹7.25 crore against a ₹4 crore budget. The film was released on 21 November 2014 and later dubbed in Hindi as Police Aur Tiger.

Storyline
Inspector Karthik is a broken man. After accidentally killing his best friend during a raid, he suffers from PTSD and cannot work. His life changes when he is forced to take care of Subramani, a trained military dog. When Karthik's wife Renuka is kidnapped and buried alive, he must team up with Subramani to find her before she runs out of air.
