• They first met on the set of Vethu Vettu (2015) — but not as co-stars. Naren was already cast, and Sriranjini was brought in last minute after the original heroine walked out. She later said Naren helped her rehearse her lines in the car between shots because the director was too stressed to guide her.
• In Kalathil Santhippom (2021), Naren deliberately slowed down his delivery in every scene with Sriranjini. He told the director she had a natural rhythm that needed space to breathe — so he let her set the pace, then matched her beat for beat. That film is their highest-rated collaboration.
