• Sriman was actually cast first in Diwan (2003). He recommended Sarath Kumar for the lead role after the director struggled to find the right actor. Sarath agreed only after Sriman personally vouched for the script.
• In Kanchana (2011), Sarath Kumar played the menacing villain while Sriman played the comic sidekick. Sriman’s timing forced Sarath to dial down his intensity in their shared scenes — making the horror-comedy balance actually work.
• During Nam Naadu (2007), both actors stayed in the same lodge room for 45 days. They cooked their own meals because neither trusted the catering. Sriman later said Sarath made the best chicken curry on set.
• Their pairing in Diwan (2003) directly led to director Suresh Krissna casting them again in Nam Naadu (2007). That film’s moderate success convinced producers to greenlight a third collaboration — which became Kanchana.

• In Varisu (2023), they played brothers for the first time. Sarath Kumar deliberately slowed his dialogue delivery in their confrontation scene so Sriman could land his punchline. The scene became a meme within a week.
