• Ajay and Venu Madhav first shared screen space in Chintakayala Ravi (2008) because the director, Y. V. S. Chowdary, specifically wanted a comedian who could match Ajay's deadpan timing. Venu was cast after a single audition where he made the entire crew laugh for ten minutes straight.
• In Kalavar King (2010), Venu Madhav improvised an entire scene where he mimics Ajay's character's walk. Ajay, instead of reacting, stayed in character and started walking the same way — turning it into a running gag that the director kept in the final cut.
• During the shoot of Autonagar Surya (2014), Ajay and Venu Madhav shared a hotel room for three weeks. Venu would wake up at 5 AM to rehearse lines aloud, and Ajay would join him — they developed a habit of running through every scene together before the director even called 'action'.
• Venu Madhav once said in an interview: 'Ajay is the only hero who never once complained when I went overboard with my comedy. He just stood there, let me do my thing, and then quietly made the scene better.'
• The comic track between Ajay and Venu Madhav in Chintakayala Ravi (2008) was so well-received that it directly inspired a separate comedy spin-off web series concept — though it never got made, the producer's office still has the treatment document.
