• Mohan was already a star when Revathi was a newcomer. For 'Udaya Geetham' (1985), director K. Rangaraj paired them because he wanted a fresh, natural-looking couple. Revathi later said she was terrified of Mohan on the first day — he had to calm her down before they could shoot.
• In 'Mouna Ragam' (1986), Mohan deliberately slowed down his usual fast-paced dialogue delivery to match Revathi's more measured, realistic style. That shift made their arguments feel like real couple fights — and it's the reason the film's emotional scenes still hit hard.
• During the shoot of 'December Pookal' (1986), Mohan and Revathi developed a habit of rehearsing scenes in the car on the way to the set. They'd run lines together without the director present, often changing the blocking before they even reached the location.
