• Rakul Preet Singh was a last-minute replacement in Venkatadri Express (2013). The original heroine walked out days before the shoot, and director Merlapaka Gandhi called Rakul on a whim. She said yes without reading the full script.
• In Nannaku Prematho (2016), Tagubothu Ramesh played the comic sidekick while Rakul played the love interest. Ramesh’s timing was so sharp that Rakul admitted she had to fight hard not to break character and laugh during their shared scenes.
