• They were thrown together by a producer who wanted a 'fresh young pair' for No Entry (2005). Neither had asked for the other. The director Anees Bazmee just needed two attractive faces who could do comedy — and they ended up doing four more films in two years.
• In Pyare Mohan (2006), Fardeen played a blind man and Esha played a mute woman. They couldn't rely on dialogue or eye contact. So they built their scenes around physical cues — Esha would tap his arm twice to signal a line, Fardeen would squeeze her hand back. They rehearsed every touch like a dance step.
• During the shoot of Shaadi No. 1 (2005), Esha and Fardeen got matching tattoos on their wrists — a small star each. They showed them off on set. Neither has ever explained what it meant, but both still have them visible in later films.
• Fardeen once said in a 2007 interview: 'Esha is the only co-star who can make me laugh even when I'm in a bad mood. She'd do this stupid duck walk between takes and I'd lose it. We never had a single fight on set.'
• Their pairing in Darling (2007) was so popular with college crowds that the film's producer, Ram Gopal Varma, briefly considered a sequel called Darling 2 — with the same lead pair. It never happened, but the original became a late-night TV staple for years.
• In Just Married (2007), Esha improvised a scene where she throws a shoe at Fardeen's head. It wasn't in the script. Fardeen didn't dodge — he took the hit and kept acting. The director kept the take. That moment became the film's most GIF'd scene online years later.
