• Their first film together, Elaan (1994), was also the debut for both of them. They were launched by director Guddu Dhanoa, and the film's poster famously billed them as 'the new sensations' — though it tanked at the box office.
• In Vaada (2005), Arjun played a possessive husband and Ameesha played his trapped wife. The film's tension relied on her playing scared and him playing menacing — and they reportedly shot the climax confrontation in one continuous take because the director wanted raw, unbroken fear.
• Ameesha has said in interviews that Arjun was the only co-star who would drive her home after late-night shoots during the making of Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai (2006). They'd stop for chai at a roadside stall near Bandra and talk about everything except films.
