• Dimple Kapadia was the one who pushed for Deepika to be cast in Cocktail (2012). The role of Veronica was originally offered to someone else, but Dimple — playing Deepika's mother in the film — told director Homi Adajania that Deepika had the 'fire' for it. She even sat through Deepika's screen test with her.
• In Finding Fanny (2014), Dimple and Deepika shot their most intense scene together in one continuous take — a car ride where Dimple's character confesses her love. Deepika later said Dimple's raw, unpredictable energy forced her to stay completely present. 'She doesn't give you a rhythm to lean on,' Deepika recalled.
