• Riya Sen and Celina Jaitley were first paired together in Silsilay (2005) because the director, Khalid Mohamed, wanted two actresses who looked like they could be rivals but also friends. He cast them specifically to play sisters-in-law who fight over the same man — and neither knew the other had been signed until the first day of shooting.
• In Apna Sapna Money Money (2006), Riya played the sweet, naive love interest while Celina played the loud, greedy one. They had zero scenes together — the director split their screen time so cleanly that they never shared a single frame. Their only 'collaboration' was being in the same movie poster.
• During the shoot of Paying Guests (2009), Riya and Celina shared a vanity van because the budget was too tight for separate ones. They reportedly spent hours gossiping about co-stars and even taught each other dance steps for their separate item numbers. Neither has spoken about the other in public since the film flopped.
