• Sai Kumar and Srinivasa Reddy first shared screen space in 'Ayyare' (2012) because the director needed a menacing villain duo. Sai Kumar was already a known face, but Srinivasa Reddy was still finding his footing. The pairing clicked so well that the director rewrote the second half to give them more scenes together.
• In 'Pataas' (2015), their on-screen tension worked because Sai Kumar played the cold, calculating antagonist while Srinivasa Reddy brought a raw, unpredictable energy. Srinivasa Reddy later admitted in an interview that Sai Kumar would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery to make him nervous — and that nervousness became part of his character's intensity.
• Despite playing bitter rivals in three films, Sai Kumar and Srinivasa Reddy are close friends off-screen. During the shoot of 'Okkadine' (2013), they would drive together to the set every morning from the same hotel, often stopping for tea at a roadside stall. Srinivasa Reddy still calls Sai Kumar 'anna' (elder brother).
• Their face-off in 'Pataas' (2015) became a template for Telugu action films in the mid-2010s. Several low-budget films directly copied the 'calm villain vs. hot-headed henchman' dynamic. One such film, 'Jai Simha' (2018), even cast a similar-looking pair to replicate the vibe.
• Srinivasa Reddy once said about Sai Kumar: 'He doesn't act with you — he acts at you. Every scene with him feels like a real fight. I had to stay angry for hours after the director said cut.' He said this during a 2015 promotional interview for 'Pataas'.
• Their fourth film together, 'Ari: My Name is Nobody' (2025), almost didn't happen. Sai Kumar had scheduling conflicts, but Srinivasa Reddy personally visited his home and convinced him to take the role by promising to shoot all their scenes in a single block of 10 days. Sai Kumar agreed only if they shot in his hometown.
