• Sayaji Shinde and Mukul Dev first shared screen space in Krishna (2008) because the director, V. V. Vinayak, needed a menacing villain duo. He cast them as a pair of ruthless brothers, and their real-life age gap (Shinde is 15 years older) made the sibling dynamic feel authentic.
• In Adhurs (2010), Shinde played the calm, calculating antagonist while Mukul Dev was the hot-headed enforcer. Shinde later said in an interview that he deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to make Mukul Dev's explosive outbursts hit harder — a pacing trick that became the film's signature villain dynamic.
