• Manobala didn't just cast Imman Annachi in 'Velmurugan Borewells' (2014) — he wrote the entire role around him after seeing his comic timing in a stage play. Annachi was the first and only choice.
• On the sets of 'Kakki Sattai' (2015), Manobala would let Imman Annachi improvise entire dialogues mid-scene. Annachi's ad-libs often made the crew laugh so hard they had to retake. Manobala kept those takes in the final cut.
