• They first met on the sets of Palakkattu Madhavan (2015). Neither was a lead then. The director threw them together for a comedy track because both were struggling to find their footing in the industry. That scene became the reason they kept getting cast as a pair.
• In Thiruttu Rail (2015), Imman Annachi would deliberately flub his lines to make Rajendran break character. Rajendran would then improvise a comeback that was funnier than the script. The director kept the camera rolling because he knew the real gold was in those unscripted moments.
• Their double-act in Nethraa (2019) — where they played bumbling sidekicks to a blind hero — directly inspired the comedy track in the 2021 web series 'Thaenmozhi' on OTT. The writers admitted they lifted the 'confused banter' dynamic from this film.
• During the shoot of Pei Mama (2021), both actors stayed in the same budget lodge near the set. Every night, they would rehearse the next day's scene by acting it out in the dark corridor — because the lodge had no power backup and they couldn't afford a generator.
• Rajendran once said in a 2022 interview: 'Imman is the only actor who can make me forget my lines because I'm laughing so hard. We never plan our comedy. We just look at each other and the scene writes itself.'
• Rajavum 5 Koojavum (2022) was supposed to be their sixth film together, but a scheduling clash with a bigger star's project forced them to drop out. The unfinished script was later rewritten and released as a different film in 2023 — without either of them.
